Zest Scientific recruitment has been instructed to identify an accomplished operational professional from the Scientific / Medical Device industry to join my clients leadership team to head up their global quality system. The position, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Director will undertake global accountability for quality operations, quality control, validation, and reliability for instruments and consumables. The Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Director will have global scope across four production facilities in Europe and Northern America with Quality Managers reporting directly into the role.
The key objective of this role will be to align quality procedures across multiple sites and ensure business unit compliance with all regulatory requirements. The instruments and consumables are sold into global markets and it is important that the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Director is familiar with the various regulations of consumer countries. Traditionally my client's manufacturing processes are advanced and compliant with global quality standards; however, recognises that in order to ensure continuous improvement there is a specific need to improve alignment with Marketing and Sales teams. The Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Director will be required to travel globally in line with business requirements (30%). The UK office is easily commutable from Liverpool, Manchester or Staffordshire and an attractive relocation package will be provided for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a wealth of business operations and financial acumen with documented evidence highlighting a broad spectrum of achievements. It is essential that applicants possess a detailed knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory affairs within a regulated environment. The successful candidate will lead compliance inspections and audits for all sites so it is vital that applicants have verifiable experience leading global quality initiatives within the Scientific / Medical Device sector.
The remuneration package includes a base salary up to £100,000 (DOE) + Bonus, Car, Equity Options, Relocation Package plus a range of additional benefits.
