Scientific Field Service Engineer Jobs, Clinical Diagnostic Engineer Vacancies.  Zest Scientific recruitment is partnered with a leading European instruments provider to recruit an experienced Service Engineer with Clinical Diagnostics / Healthcare experience.  My client provides fully automated laboratory analysers into Clinical Diagnostic Laboratories as well as some Private Clinics and requires a versatile and experienced Service / Systems Engineer to undertake six month preventative maintenance services across the UK in addition to installation and customer training responsibilities.

The role will require extensive UK travel and applicants should expect a minimum of one night per week away from home with some travel to Dublin and Edinburgh expected.  However, key accounts are primarily based in the South and applicants will need to be located no further north than Birmingham.

It is essential that candidates demonstrate a proven track record in a 'Systems' Engineer capacity as the role involves electronics, analogue and digital, mechanical systems, robotics, optical systems, IT networks (operating system software includes Windows98 and DOS).  This position is not component level troubleshooting.  Previous experience of Clinical Chemistry Diagnostic Instrumentation is highly desirable; however, my client will consider candidates with relevant healthcare experience.  The Application & Service Engineer will need good customer facing skills and be comfortable delivering training at the installation stage.  Naturally, the successful candidate will be self motivated, organised with good prioritisation skills.
