Analytical Chemist Jobs, Mass Spectrometry Jobs UK.  Zest Scientific recruitment team is currently representing a leading provider of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry analytical systems, tasked to identify an Applications Scientist for our clients training team.  The Applications Scientist will be responsible for delivering training activities and customer support across Europe (predominantly France or Spain) responding to customer queries using professional knowledge of Chromatographic and Mass Spectrometric techniques.

The Applications Scientist job represents an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished Scientist to make the transition into a customer facing technical training position.  Due to the nature of the position applicants will need to demonstrate technical proficiency in chromatography, mass spectrometry and associated techniques.  Specific experience / knowledge of Proteomics is desirable.

Training will be provided in France and Spain as well as the UK, it is therefore essential that applicants are fluent in either French or Spanish.  Due to the nature of the role, the Applications Scientist will need to possess strong verbal and written communication skills which would be suited to a teaching / training post.  An ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects is also essential.  The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level in Chemistry or related science (PhD desirable) and willing to travel extensively across Europe (75% Travel).  Consequently, candidates will need good access to International transport links.
