Technical Sales Vacancy - Microbiology Water Testing.  Zest Scientific Recruitment is currently searching for a Technical Sales professional to promote my clients portfolio of Water Testing Solutions across the UK.  The Technical Sales Specialist will develop relationships with Public and Private Laboratories involved in analysis and testing of drinking water, raw, bottled and other waters through the use of Microbiology testing methods.  The product offering is globally recognized and is a comprehensive range of Microbiology Test Kits including equipment, associated accessories and reagents.  We are seeking an accomplished Laboratory Sales Representative with a track record in successfully managing both Public and Private sector Laboratory accounts.

The Laboratory Sales Specialist will be the sole representative in the UK; consequently, the successful candidate will need to be self led, comfortable operating in an autonomous capacity with limited external support.  The role is ideal for an entrepreneurial business development professional with an understanding of the Water Testing market.  This also represents an excellent opportunity for a Technical Sales Specialist with a track record in Capital Equipment and Consumables sales within the wider Research / Laboratory / Industrial sector.

Selection Criteria:

• Educated to degree level, ideally Microbiology or related discipline.
• Documented evidence of success selling Capital Equipment and Consumables into Laboratories / Industry. Applications from candidates with existing knowledge and experience of the Water Testing market are highly desirable.
• Self motivated, entrepreneurial with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Enterprising by nature with an ability to interact with others in a confident and relaxed manner.
• The role has some physical demands / occasional lifting (moving electrical equipment).
