Molecular Biology Research Scientist Jobs, DNA Sequencing Scientist Vacancies Nottingham.  Zest Scientific Recruitment is partnered with a leading provider of Genomic Research Services to identify a DNA Sequencing Scientist for my clients East Midlands team.  My client provides Next Generation Sequencing using the Illumina GAIIx and HiSeq2000xl sequencing platforms; consequently, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate previous laboratory experience operating these instruments and / or generating Illumina Libraries. 

Working in a target led, deadline driven team based at the Nottingham facility, the DNA Sequencing Scientist will be a specialist in either Sanger or Illumina 2^nd Generation Sequencing.  Primarily tasked to generate Next Generations Sequencing libraries as well as operating the Illumina platforms.  The successful candidate will additionally be required to analyse Sanger and / or Next Generation DNA Sequencing Data.

Educated (minimum) to degree level in Molecular Biology or related field; it is essential that applicants can clearly demonstrate at least 18 months relevant laboratory experience, operating Illumina GAIIx and HiSeq2000xl sequencing platforms.  Additional requisite skills include: programming lab automation instrumentation; GLP / GCP accredited lab experience; ability to work under strict timelines; good data analysis skills.
