Product Development Scientist

Senior Scientist Jobs, Research Scientist & Analytical Chemist Vacancies.  Zest Scientific recruitment is partnered with an international leader to source a skilled Product Development Scientist in the field of Analytical Chemistry to join my clients Chromatography team.  We are seeking an accomplished Research Scientist with a proven track record in a project management capacity, driving development projects for products within the Organic Chemistry field.  The Research Scientist will demonstrate in depth knowledge of the principles of separation science, with a full understanding of gas and liquid chromatography and the characteristics and applications of a wide range of separation techniques.

The Product Development Scientist will actively contribute to the ideas process; working on a global scale, establishing contacts with both internal and external research groups in academia, research institutions and industry.

The Research Scientist will work as part of a team, based in Runcorn with excellent commuter links to the M56 and M62 tasked to ensure a continuous flow of innovative products is maintained.  Playing an important role in product development, you will undertake targeted development projects with a focus on synthetic chemistry.  Project Management skills are important as there will be interaction with business operations in order to coordinate the transition of projects from development to production which needs to be achieved in a cost effective manner and in line with agreed timescales.  In addition, the New Product Development Scientist will prepare written reports and deliver (poster) presentations at an authoritative level.

The New Product Development Scientist will be educated to degree / PhD level in Analytical Chemistry with particular emphasis on synthesis and/or analytical techniques.  Applicants will need to demonstrate a proven ability to manage projects in the industrial sector.  It is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate detailed knowledge of the principles of separation science with a comprehensive understanding of GC & LC.
