Senior Scientist Jobs, Research Scientist & Analytical Chemist Vacancies.  Zest Scientific recruitment is interested in speaking to Research Chemists with a background in Organic Chemistry with particular emphasis on synthesis.  We are actively seeking a Research Chemist to join our clients New Product Development team and it is essential that candidates can demonstrate in depth knowledge of the principles of Organic Chemistry and Coating Science with a working understanding of Liquid Chromatography, its characteristics and applications.

The Research Chemist will work as part of a team, based in Runcorn with excellent commuter links to the M56 and M62 tasked to ensure a continuous flow of innovative products is maintained.  Playing an important role in product development, you will undertake targeted development projects with a focus on synthetic chemistry.  Project Management skills are important as there will be interaction with business operations in order to coordinate the transition of projects from development to production which needs to be achieved in a cost effective manner and in line with agreed timescales.  In additions, the Research Chemist will prepare written reports and deliver (poster) presentations at an authoritative level.

The Research Chemist will be educated (minimum) to degree level in Chemistry / Materials Science with particular emphasis on synthesis and/or analytical techniques.  A proven ability to manage projects in the industrial sector is highly advantageous; however, we will consider candidates with credible project based academic experience.  It is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate detailed knowledge of the principles of organic chemistry and coating science; highly familiar with current practices in phase development and the technology associated with HPLC, GC and MS.
