Regulatory & Technical Support Scientist - East Midlands.  Regulatory Affairs Jobs Nottingham, REACH Compliance Jobs East Midlands, Hazard Classification Vacancies Loughborough.  Zest Scientific recruitment has been tasked to identify a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our clients growing Regulatory team to support and help develop the commercial activities and to ensure regulatory compliance with UK and European legislation.  As a consequence of continued investment and growth in my clients business there is a current requirement for a candidate with experience in the field of Chemicals Compliance to undertake responsibility for managing business compliance in relation to storage, supply, purchasing, handling, labelling and shipping of hazardous goods.  The role will involve a high degree of database work and preparation of safety data sheet's for new and existing products.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a Chemistry or Health & Safety background.  Educated to degree level (minimum) in a life science or chemical discipline the ideal candidate will have a professional background  in Regulatory Affairs and REACH compliance as well as an understanding of transportation regulations (ADR, IATA, IMDG).  Equally important is an understanding of the regulations on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP). 

Other desirables include; previous experience of the regulations and legislation relating to waste management (Toxicology / Ecotoxicology) and knowledge and experience of Access Database Management
