Supplier Quality Engineer Jobs Cambridge - Quality Engineer Jobs Cambridgeshire - PPAP Engineer Jobs East Anglia.  Zest Business Group is working in partnership with a global leader in the manufacture and supply of analytical instrumentation in order to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer for the UK Quality Assurance team. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that project quality requirements are properly identified, defined, implemented and managed at the supplier during the complete product development process, whilst ensuring robust status feedback is maintained with the projects.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and based in Cambridge, the Supplier Quality Engineer will provide technical support to the team and take responsibility for proactively improving the quality and reliability of component supply, developing and delivering methodologies and strategies to improve vendor performance if they are not meeting expectations using lean methodologies and benchmarking.  The Supplier Quality Engineer will lead problem solving quality improvement initiatives using 8D methodologies to ensure root cause is established and corrective action implemented swiftly to avoid reoccurrence.  The role will involve some international travel and although not essential, it would be ideal if applicants are able to technically communicate in Mandarin. 

The Supplier Quality Engineer must demonstrate all round knowledge of the tools, techniques and applications used in APQP, with experience of implementing and managing activities through the supply chain. Candidates should have a strong background in the Automotive / Aerospace industry, alongside Six Sigma and Project Management experience. A thorough understanding of FMEA, PPAP, component management and supplier improvement processes and techniques is mandatory. The ability to identify opportunities and develop actions plans to deliver results is essential along with the ability to positively communicate activities at all levels. Our client has identified Supplier Development Engineers, APQP / PPAP Engineers, Automotive Project Engineers and Quality Engineers as desirable candidates for this post.
